Senate Democrats reach deal on lowering drug prices through $1.75 trillion spending bill
- The Senate Majority Leader, Chuck Schumer, said that Democrats have reached an agreement on lowering prescription drug prices
- In addition to the lowered prices, Schumer added that the plan grants the government the power to limit Medicare out-of-pocket costs for seniors to $2,000 per year
School mask Ban block upheld by Arizona High Court
- On November 2, the Arizona Supreme Court unanimously ruled that the state constitution was violated by including new laws banning school maks mandates
- Before the laws were set to take effect, at least 39 of Arizona’s public school districts issued mask mandates
- Arizona cities and counties were also able to approve mask requirements and other COVID-19 laws that would have been stopped by the budget bills
