US counties with low vaccination rates have seen a sharp rise in Covid cases

• Currently, more than 80% of  the 463 US counties with a minimum of 100 cases per 100,000 residents last week have vaccination rates lower than 40%
• Throughout 40 states, almost 1,600 counties with 72 million residents have vaccinations also lower than 40% 

Rising Covid cases have pushed Israel to offer 3rd Pfizer shot 

• For those adults considered to be at risk, Israel’s health ministry has reported that the Pfizer booster shot will be offered
• The country’s health ministry also stated that the booster would be particularly helpful to those who struggle with immunodeficiency and/or have undergone an organ transplant

Apple MagSafe battery pack has been announced for iPhone 12 lineup

• Today (Tuesday) Apple has announced a new product accessory for the iPhone called the MagSafe Battery Pack
• The product will cost $99 and have a white color option
• According to Apple, MagSafe Battery Pack will provide up to 15W of wireless charging with a 20W or higher power adapter
• Currently, Apple has not specified the total capacity of the MagSafe Battery pack but Apple leakers and analysts believe the product to have 1,460 mAh based on unofficial product leaks

• Currently, Volkswagen has set aside $86.4 billion towards to development of future technology from 2021 to 2025
• This investment that the company plans to put towards technological advancements have now made up half of the total investments of the company

New partnership between Verizon and Mastercard to provide 5G contactless payments

• Just recently, Verizon and Mastercard have announced that they will be partnering to create 5G contactless payments for consumers along with small to medium-sized businesses
• By 2023, the two companies plan to have further digitalized global consumer spending at merchant stores and retailers
