According to California, two new wildfires have been ignited in the state as of Sunday, September 5
The Aruba Fire, in San Diego County has burned across the southeast portion of the Rainbow community, according to Cal Fire
The second fire, the Bridge Fire has burned over 250 acres near Placer with a 0% containment as of September 5 and evacuations in progress

California hiker falls to her death at Mori Point in Pacifica

According to reports, a woman fell 50 feet to her death on Sunday morning while hiking a Mori Point, in Pacifica
After rescuers found her at the beach, she was pronounced dead at the scene

The animal weighed 65-pounds; the injuries were to the boy’s neck, head, and upper torso

A police officer in Guadalupe, California accidentally killed a bystander who was sitting in a vehicle while shooting at a suspect on August 21, 2021
Authorities have not identified the officer who opened fire or the suspect who was arrested, but may, “pending additional interviews and investigative processes,” the statement said

Northern California causes new threats despite containment efforts

The Caldor fire in Northern California has continued to grow out of control and as of Sunday, August 22, there is zero containment
The fire has burned more than 154 square miles of tree and brush filled landscape since its outburst on August 14

Authorities have said that the deputy’s police cruiser was found torched in a possible ambush attack around 4:15 pm

Attorney General warns of price gouging after residents evacuate from Caldor Fire

The California Attorney General, Rob Bonta, has warned residents in El Dorado County to look out for and report price gouging during the wildfire evacuation orders
Increasing the cost of essential supplies such as food, housing, and gas is illegal if it’s priced at higher than 10% of its original cost prior to the state of emergency
