Vaccine or regular testing to be mandated by California

• On August 11, Governor Gavin Newsom of California has announced that teachers and other school employees must either submit to regular Covid testing or receive the vaccine 
• School districts in San Francisco, Sacramento, Long Beach, and Oakland have already implemented the measure which covers a large portion of the state’s 300,000 teachers

California hospitals are now requiring proof of vaccination or negative Covid-19 test for visitors 

• Starting on August 11, all hospitals intermediate care facilities, and skilled nursing facilities will require visitors to show proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID test
• This public health order was issued on August 5 and applies to all indoor visits and those unvaccinated must test negative for COVID-19 within 72 hours prior to the visit
