• In order to have qualified for the lottery you must have been fully vaccinated (meaning all doses)
• This marks the end of covid-19 restrictions in California for certain previous limitations

• Today (Tuesday June 15) Governor Gavin Newsom announced that the California mask mandate would be ending which also marks the last state in the county to have required its residents to wear face masks indoors despite vaccination status
• Across the whole state some still wore their face covering while many others went without them

• The orange and Los Angeles counties have their winners for the $50K prizes for the California vaccine incentive lottery
• Today, (Friday) Governor Gavin Newsom has helped to draw the first winners of the $116.5 million vaccination lottery for the state
• These winners that were announced were the 15 first of 30 to receive the $50 grand 
• For the lottery, there were 21.5 million eligible Californians  from Mendocino, Santa Clara, Alameda, San Diego, San Francisco, and San Luis Obispo counties

• In the workplace, Californians will be required to wear masks possibly through early 2022 at least if they have unvaccinated co-workers
• These new rules now require that employees (even those vaccinated) to continue wearing masks indoors if they are around others who have not been vaccinated
• If everyone in the workplace is vaccinated, then the masks are not required
• The rules also state another layer of complexity to California’s pandemic recovery as vaccination rates increase and more things continue to open
