Deadly California movie theater shooting ends in arrest 

• On July 26, 2021, a teen was killed and another severely injured from a shooting at the Regal Edwards Cinema in Corona 
• On July 28, 2021, the Corona Police Department announced the arrest of a 20-year-old male named Joseph Jimenez who was taken into custody on July 27 at 10:30 pm
• Currently, Law Enforcement has reported that the suspect’s motive for the shooting is unknown and they believe the attack was unprovoked

Health exchange rates in California to increase 1.8% in 2022

• According to California state officials, they report that individual insurance premiums for those uninsured in California’s health exchange will increase by 1.8% in 2022
• The small increase is due to the high volume of enrollment applicants and increased competition with other health insurance providers
• Through “Covered California”, almost 250,000 people have gotten insurance which brings their customer total to 1.6 million people

California Flex Alert is issued statewide for Wednesday as temperatures threaten the grid

• California has issued a statewide Flex Alert issued for July 28 as temperatures rise above normal temperatures in Northern and Southern California
• From 4 pm to 9 pm, the alert is set to take place to hopefully avoid any power disruptions and rolling blackouts

Hemet man arrested for alleged Bear Spray road rage attack at Seal Beach

• Today (Tuesday) a 43 year old man from Hemet was arrested for allegedly attacking a driver in a road rage incident with bear spray
• The incident happened on June 25 in the early afternoon and there was multiple witnesses
• Those who were attacked by the man included three people including a child and all suffered some eye and skin irritation injuries
