• On September 7, a car crashed into a sidewalk homeless camp in Los Angeles which injured 4 people who are now hospitalized
• According to the Los Angeles Fire department, a special rescue truck was needed to lift the crashed vehicle off one of those injured

Larry Elder called “a Black face on White Supremacy” by Newsom supporter

• A California professor supporting Governor Gavin Newsom’s campaign reportedly called Larry Elder “a Black face on White Supremacy” during an event on September 6
• Despite being a clear front-runner among candidates to replace Newsom, Elder has repeatedly faced racism claims by the left because of his political views

Long Beach couple shot and killed over possible parking space dispute

• Juan Guizar-Gutierrez and Maricela Honorato, a California couple was killed over the labor day weekend in a shooting that may have started over a parking space dispute
• According to the Long Beach police department, Juan and Maricela were shot in the 900 block of Park Circle around 7:50 pm
• As of September 7, no arrests have been made and homicide detectives are continuing to investigate the incident

Bear shot after California resident acted in “self-defense” after an attack in their home

• Last Thursday, The El Dorado County Sheriff’s office resorts that they had a call about a bear threat in a town named Meyers near Lake Tahoe
• The resident supposedly shot the bear out of self-defense after it had attacked them inside their home
• The day after (Friday) the bear was discovered and had been “gravely wounded” according to the sheriff’s office
• An investigation of the event has determined that there was no criminal activity during the event 

A Drive-by shooting has occurred near a Hooters in Long Beach

• At around 7:30 pm, a shooting occurred near the Pike Outlets outside a Hooters restaurant where two adults and a teen have been wounded
• Currently detectives are investigating the shooting as it could be gang-related and 2 have been arrested
