According to California officials on October 21, three women have been charged with counts of grand theft and embezzlement
These charges are in connection to an alleged scam to steal thousands in public funds that are meant to help the homeless
The women’s names are: Valencia Stevenson (40 yo), Sareena Stevenson (44 yo), and La Toi Allena Pledger (45 yo)

The family of three was identified as John Gerrish, Ellen Chung, their 1-year-old daughter, Muji, and their dog
Authorities have seen no clear cause of death which caused them to treat the area like a “hazmat scene” as it could be related to carbon monoxide
Some fear a toxic algae bloom which cannot be rectified even by boiling water.
