LA Unified School District scandal: Millions kept from Catholic schools
- Just recently, California has determined that the Los Angeles Unified School District have broke federal law by keeping $5 million away from Catholic schools
- Out of the 100 eligible private Catholic schools, only 17 have received the district’s $349 million in Title I funds during 2019-2020
Caitlyn Jenner’s gubernatorial campaign piles up debt
- During the California recall race, Caitlyn Jenner’s campaign has raised about $747,000 and spent about $910,000 which leaves the campaign with around $156,000 in debt
- More than a quarter of that money has flowed to fundraising platform WinRed and to enlist the services of former Trump campaign hand Brad Parscale and former Bush press secretary, Ari Fleischer
California sees rising delta variant cases and new mask mandates
- San Francisco and 6 other counties in California’s Bay area have seen a surge in COVID-19 infections and this has prompted them to reinstate mask dates for indoor spaces
- The infection rates in San Francisco has increased by almost 20 times what they were at the lowest point in June
- According to recent state data, new California cases have jumped from fewer than 900 a day at the end of May to more than 9,000 a day
