California Highway patrol chase suspect in stolen semi-truck in pursuit lasting hours
- On the night of November 3, a man that allegedly stole an 18-wheeler led police from Ventura County on a slow speed pursuit that lasted for hours through the Los Angeles area
- According to a news report, the rig was taken from a lot of a distribution company in Bell, California around 8 pm
- The rig eventually came to a stop 12 hours later on the southbound 55 Freeway near Dyer Road in Orange County
Heroic man sacrifices himself in zip line fall to save a woman in San Diego County
- On November 1, a 35-year-old man named Joaquin Romero died after falling from a zip line in the Pauma Valley area in north San Diego County after sacrificing himself to save a woman
- The man was an employee at La Jolla Zip Zoom Zipline and was working on the “receiving platform” where he was helping a woman unhook before she slid out on the line and brought him with her
- Romero feared the woman could fall because of his weight on the line, so he let go and fell 70 feet to the ground where he suffered critical injuries
- He eventually died two days later after being airlifted to a hospital
- The woman was eventually rescued and suffered no injuries
Agriculture exports from California delayed due to supply chain issues
- Farmers throughout California state report that they currently have no way to export their crops as the global supply chain issues have resulted in shipping containers stuck off the Southern California Coast
- According to the California Department of Food and Agriculture, the state is the nation’s only supplier of tree nuts which are mostly sold to other countries which total for more than $8.1 billion in exports
California children ages 5 to 11 start to receive COVID-19 vaccines
- On November 3, the first COVID-19 vaccinations have been given to children ages 5 to 11 as health officials launched a rollout of shots to 3.5 million California kids

- According to prosecutors on November 3, a teenager was arrested in connection with a shooting that ended with the death of a man and the injury of 3 others
- The 19-year-old boy named Benjamin Calderon allegedly got into a fight with others at a Halloween party on Saturday night through Sunday morning
