“Clean California” hiring event is held at Caltrans San Diego
- Caltrans is currently looking for more workers in an effort to clean up the state’s highways and provide more jobs which is a part of the governor’s “California Comeback Plan”
- At their District 11 office in San Diego’s Old Town, Cal trans has opened an event they call the “Clean California Hiring Event” where they hope to hire as many as 50 employees
- Ending at 2 pm, job applications for the event will are accepted on 4050 Taylor Street in San Diego (92110) and starting salaries are around $36,000
Coronavirus cases and hospitalizations are rising since reopening in Southern California
- Over the past month, since mask restrictions have been removed across the state, new cases have multiplied and many people have gotten to the point of hospitalization
- Yesterday (Wednesday) the LA County Department of Public Health reported 1,315 cases of Covid-19 which marked the 6th continuous day of more than 1,000 reported infections

Following Power Outage in Santa Monica, 17 million gallons of sewage flood into the ocean
- On Monday, California officials have reported that a total of 17 million gallons of untreated sewage water had flooded into the Santa Monica Bay following a power outage
- This week, beaches all across Southern California have been forced to close due to the amount of sewage
- The spill into the Santa Monica Bay lasted for almost 8 hours and 6% of the water treatment facility’s daily load was released
