- In Huntington Beach, California, an Italian restaurant has announced that they will now only be serving customers who have not been vaccinated
- Basilico’s Pasta E Vino has a sign posted in their front door that reads, “NOTICE Proof of being unvaccinated required.”
New California Poll suggests voters split on Gavin Newsom recall
- A study conducted by UC Berkely and Los Angeles Times has indicated that the front-runner to replace Newsom in the recall will be Larry Elder
- The first question in the poll was whether Governor Newsom should be removed from office and 47% of registered voters in the poll support the Newsom recall
Hospitals in Northern California are preparing for a spike in COVID-19 cases
- In California, more than 3,000 people have been hospitalized with about 700 in intensive care units
- So far, the state’s population remains at 61% vaccinated which is 9% short of reaching herd immunity
- Hospitals such as Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento has set up tents to test patient for COVID
