Beaches in California close as oil spill threatens public safety and wildlife
- On October 2, Energy workers from Amplify Energy Corp. noticed oil in the water near an oil-processing plant near the coast of Huntington Beach that contains about 70 wells
- Investigators believe that the spill took place underwater about 5 miles off the coast of Huntington Beach and about 126,000 gallons of oil have leaked into the ocean
California’s vaccine mandate opposed by doctor who says, “Not based on Clinical Evidence”
- Near the end of September 2021, Governor Gavin Newsom announced a new vaccine mandate for schoolchildren over 12 years old and eligible for the vaccine
- These kids will be required by the mandate to receive the vaccine in order to attend class and there will be no testing alternative
- On October 4, a California Doctor poised against Newsom said that the decision to force children to get vaccinated was “not based on clinical evidence” but due to politics
