Ford is expanding their pickup truck lineup with their new small pickup called Maverick
- To expand their very profitable pickup franchise, Ford will come out with a new small pickup named Maverick
- This truck will be compact and smaller than the Ford F-150 full size pickup and the middle sized Ford Ranger
- This pickup is currently being produced at Ford’s Hermosillo plant in Mexico along with the all new Ford bronco Sport SUV
United Airlines to purchase airplanes from a new startup called Boom Supersonic
- United Airlines is going to buy 15 ultrafast planes from Boom Supersonic and at some point 35 more in the future
- The startup company’s first commercial supersonic jet, the Overture has not been certified or built yet
- In 2029 Boom Supersonic is targeting the start of passenger service and this plane has the potential at flying at a speed of Mach 1.7 which would reduce flight times
The developer of the World’s largest offshore wind farm plans on reutilizing old turbine blades
- For the wind energy industry, there is a large issue of what to do with old turbine blades when they are broken or too old
- Many companies have become involved in the sector and have tried to find solutions to this issue
- Hornsea One is investing in trying to find ways to reuse, recycle, or recover these old blades
U.S. Covid cases remain below 20,000 daily along with 1.1 million vaccine shots a day
- Average daily Covid cases in the U.S. has remained blow 20,000 for now 3 straight days
- Federal data for this has shown that the pace of daily reported vaccinations has fallen to a 7 day average of 1.1 million
- Of the total U.S. population, 51% has received that vaccine along with 63% of American adults to have received 1 shot or more
