President Biden greeted with protesters after landing in Sacramento

  • On September 13, President Joe Biden landed in Sacramento, California to campaign for Governor Newsom during the recall election and was met with protestors over how he handled Afghanistan and mandatory vaccinations
  • A couple dozen protesters were in attendance when Air Force One touched down at the Mather Airport and some held signs that read, “Biden Lied, 13 died”

Three Fresno county school districts rank with top 10 highest reading scores 

  • Out of California’s 10 best schools for reading scores are 3 schools from Fresno county according to a new report from the California Reading Coalition
  • The report shows that the schools are: Kingsburg Elementary Charter (rank:3), Clovis Unified (rank:4), and Firebaugh-Las Deltas Unified (rank:8)
  • The report card used data from the two most recent California Assessment of Students Performance and Progress cycles, including 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 data
